Desde que cometí el atrevimiento de ser la primera en decirte que me gustabas (algo que hice muy pocas veces antes -siempre con desastrosas consecuencias- y que nunca volví a hacer después de tí), te quise.

Y me entristecen un poco.
Hace unos días teniendo una conversación "contigo pero sin ti" (como pasa tantas veces en mi cabeza con esas personas con las que no puedo hablar o porque si, pero deseo decirles cosas que no son convenientes) me "preguntabas" si te odiaba por no quererme.
Yo respondía que no. Que no podía odiarte por seguir los impulsos de tu corazón, por llevarte por caminos que no cruzaban a mi vera.
También te decía -te digo- que las cosas pasan por algo y si no fui la elegida para acompañarte en tu vida, sería quizás porque no era lo más conveniente para ti.
Lo que no te decía es que seguramente tampoco eras lo que más convenía para mí.
Una común amiga no hace sino gimotear por su relación de pareja, quejarse de todo lo que el man le niega y todo lo que la hace sufrir. Pero ahí sigue. Yo creo que en realidad le gusta mucho más de lo que desea admitir, jugar al gato y al ratón, la adrenalina de una relación de pareja donde no sabe qué esperar... o bueno, sabe que puede esperar lo peor, pero prefiere eso al terreno llano de una relación sin emociones.
Yo no soy así.
Valoro el amor tranquilo y estable. Una persona con quien construir juntos, así no sea para toda una vida. No negaré que a veces extraño la montaña rusa emocional, pero me controlo con firmeza. O he tenido suerte y las personas que podrían empujarme se mantienen apartados de mi camino.
Quizás no estamos juntos porque tampoco yo hubiera podido salvarte de tí mismo. Me habría hundido a tu lado.
